General Terms and Conditions (AGB)

Hotel Metzgerei und Gaststätte Schneider, owner: Markus Schneider, Oberstadt 25, 35423 Lich, hereinafter referred to as Hotel

1. booking and reservations
1.1. By booking a stay, the guest accepts these GTC.
1.2. Reservations can be made online via the website, by telephone or in person.
1.3. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the hotel.

2. payments
2.1. Payment shall be made at the time of booking or in accordance with the agreed terms of payment.
2.2. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards and cash.

3. non-utilization of the agreed service
3.1. Cancellation by the guest is only possible up to 48 hours before arrival. After that, there is no right to cancel.
3.2. If there is no right of withdrawal, the guest shall continue to be entitled to the agreed remuneration, even if the service is not used by the guest. However, the income from renting the rooms to other parties and the expenses saved will be taken into account. If the rooms are not rented to another party, 80% of the contractually agreed fixed price for the overnight stay must be paid. If half board has been agreed, 70% of the agreed price must be paid, and 60% for full board. The guest is at liberty to prove that the aforementioned claim did not arise for the hotel or did not arise in the amount claimed.

4. check-in and check-out
4.1. Check-in is possible from [Check-in-Zeit] and check-out should take place by [Check-out-Zeit].
4.2. Early check-in or late check-out are possible on request and subject to availability.

5. conduct and liability
5.1. Guests are obliged to behave appropriately during their stay at the hotel and to respect the hotel’s facilities.
5.2. The hotel is liable for damages arising from injury to life, limb or health for which it is responsible. Furthermore, the hotel is liable for other damages that are based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the hotel and damages that are based on an intentional or negligent breach of typical contractual obligations of the hotel. Typical contractual obligations are those obligations which make the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place and on the fulfillment of which the guest relies and may rely. A breach of duty is equivalent to that of a legal representative or vicarious agent. Further claims for damages are excluded. Should disruptions or defects in the services occur, the hotel shall endeavor to remedy such upon knowledge thereof or upon immediate complaint by the guest. The guest is obliged to make reasonable efforts to remedy the disruption and minimize any possible damage. In addition, the guest is obliged to inform the hotel in good time of the possibility of exceptionally high damages.
5.3. The hotel is liable to the guest for items brought into the hotel in accordance with the statutory provisions. It is recommended to use the hotel safe. Items left behind by the guest will only be forwarded at the request, risk and expense of the customer. The hotel will keep the items left behind for three months, after which they will be handed over to the local lost and found office if they have a recognizable value. If the lost and found office is not prepared to accept the items, they will be kept for a further nine months and then either disposed of or destroyed.
5.4. If the guest is provided with a parking space in the hotel parking lot, this does not constitute a safekeeping agreement. There is no monitoring obligation in any case. The hotel shall not be liable for loss of or damage to motor vehicles parked or maneuvered on the hotel property and their contents, unless the hotel’s legal representatives or vicarious agents are responsible for intent or gross negligence. In this case, the damage must be claimed at the latest before leaving the hotel property.
5.5. Wake-up calls are carried out with the utmost care. Claims for damages arising from omission, except in cases of gross negligence or intent, are excluded.

7. final provisions
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid or void
